10.1 Mega Pixels, Optical 5x Zoom
The Samsung S1050 is a high resolution digital camera that is equipped with a true-colour filtered 10.1 mega-pixel CCD. This allows the Samsung S1050 to produce even better images and take detailed photos for printing up to poster size. In addition, the Samsung S1050 has an optical 5x and digital 5x zoom giving 25x total zoom when combined.


 3.0” large LCD screen

The Samsung S1050 has a 3.0” large LCD for improved contrast and colour reproduction, allowing you to enjoy a wider and clearer image.

 Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR)

The ASR technology prevents the degradation of image clarity and colour common to flash photography. With ASR the effects of camera shake are reduced in low light conditions. You can even take well exposed, sharper pictures in low light without using a flash at all. It guarantees brighter and more natural pictures.

 High sensitivity ISO 1600
The Samsung S1050 has an auto sensitivity feature that automatically adjusts sensitivity according to the ambient exposure conditions up to ISO 1600. The high sensitivity setting of ISO 1600 enables you to take clearer indoor pictures in poor light without camera shake or image blur.


 Face Recognition AF & AE
Face recognition technology supports more beautiful portrait picture taking. This function automatically recognise the face of a subject and optimise focus and brightness in shooting.


 Macro 1cm & Auto Macro
Macro’s available up to 1cm. When set to Auto Macro Mode, the Samsung S1050 automatically adjusts the shooting distance and focus from between 10cm to infinity, helping you to take pictures more easily.


 Powerful manual functions
The powerful manual function support enables you to express your image intentions according to the subject. For the convenient A Mode and S Mode functions, you can change mode easily by operating the left/right button (shutter speed priority) and up/down button (aperture priority) of the 5-directional button. When using the camera in M Mode, even a novice photographer can easily use the manual functions with the optimum exposure display at the bottom of the LCD.



 Wise Shot
This clever feature allows you to choose the best picture by taking 2 shots simultaneously - one using ASR and one using a flash. So if you are unsure, let the camera do the work for you and simply choose the image you prefer when the hard work has been done!



 MPEG-4 SVGA movie function
The powerful video capability of the Samsung S1050 delivers a “camcorder like” experience. For a more enhanced movie shooting experience, the Samsung S1050 uses MPEG-4, the high-compression high-quality video format, which can record for up to 3-4 times longer than the traditional video formats used in many other digital cameras. With powerful video recording in SVGA(quality 800x600) at 20fps, it provides a wider screen view and clearer video quality.

 Movie Stabiliser

The Samsung S1050 has a Movie Stabiliser function, which helps maintain steady recording ofa subject by automatically detecting and correcting any camera movements.

 Successive Recording function
The Successive Recording function of the Samsung S1050, which is based on exclusive Samsung technology, allows you to pause and resume video recording as desired and merge those multiple movie into a single file.


 Built-in Movie Editing
For easier editing of movies, the Samsung S1050 allows you to select and save only the desire dpart into a new file during playback, on the camera. It also lets you to capture a still image during replay.
